What is "Auto update translation" function and how to set up this function in Transcy?
Auto Translate or Auto update translation function which help you update the translation for new contents or changes in existing product pages, collection pages and other pages automatically.
Example: You have changed the product title of a product page in Shopify (default language) and already set up Auto translate function for that product page before, the app will detect new content of the product title and translate that new content automatically to update your product translation in target languages.
From Growth plan, users can set up Auto Translate for Product pages, Collection pages and only users in Premium plan can set up Other pages.
This feature is disable when your store default language is unsupported so you can change your store default language in this case to use this feature.
Please follow the limitation on the number of page added to set up Auto Translate function
GROWTH: add up to 10 Product pages, 10 Collections pages
PREMIUM: add up to 100 Products pages, 100 Collection pages and 100 Other resources

After you have set up your target languages translation successfully then you could add your preferred products/collections to Auto Translate list to keep all contents of them always up-to-date swiftly just some simple steps as the following:
Go to Translation menu --> Auto Translate --> click on Set up now
Choose the target language you want to set up Auto translate
Choose Page type that you want to set up then add to the list
Publish added pages in list to make Auto translate work
Steps for each Page type below:
Product page or Collection page
>> Click on Set up product pages button or Set up Collection pages button

>> Select your preferred products/collections in the Search bar then Add to Auto translate list --> Apply

Please note that you can enable Auto sync button to help any change or new content on selected product/collection page to be synced and translated automatically.
>> You could search the product/collection title on Search bar to find the item you want and do action such as remove or preview any product page/collection page in Auto translate list to check the result.
>> Publish/unpublish any specific page or do action in bulk to activate or stop Auto Translate setup

Other resources
For Other pages such as Navigation, Blog post, etc, belong to Manual synced resource, you could do the same step to set up Auto Translate.
>> Choose other resources/pages that you want to set up for Auto Translate
>> Resources with multiple pages (such as Blog Posts, Blog Groups), you can choose and select individually or all pages that you want.
Example: Blog post
>> You can find a specific page by Search bar also View details or Publish/Unpublish/Remove or bulk action many resources at the same time like Product/Collection page
>> In case you bulk remove many pages (Products/Collections/Other pages), there will be a popup to confirm this action.
In case downgrading plan, page's status will be Unpublish by default, you need to publish the page according to your plan limitation to make it active with Auto Translate function. Click here to learn more function limit on per plan.
You can only publish Product/Collection/Other page to Auto Translate list according to your added Page number limit on each plan. For instance, you're in Growth plan, you can add up to 10 Product pages and 10 Collection pages to Auto Translate list, so you can only publish the Page number based on this limit. If you reach the limit, you can't publish more. In this case, we recommend you should upgrade to a higher plan to get more pages published.
Example:
Example: In case you're in Premium plan and get the limit reached with 100 Collection pages published in the Auto Translate list for instance. So you can't add/publish more in this case, please reselect and only publish pages that you need on your website. We've still been trying to improve this limit better in the near future.
Auto translate languages: There are Advanced languages that you have set up before in your language setting so you could choose one or more options to keep your translation updated constantly. Pages (Product/Collection/Other resources) that you add in Auto translate list will be applied for selected Advance languages.
Once page(s) (Product page, Collection page, Other pages) is added in Auto Translate list and target languages are set up in Auto Translate Setting already, target languages translation on that page will be auto updated if there is any change or new content on default language version.
Also, for Other pages, the app will auto update the translation when: User performs Manual Sync action and there is any new content on the page added in Auto Translate list OR when our system has done with Daily Sync, and detect any new content on that page, the translation of target languages which are set up in Auto Translate Setting will be updated as well. Please be advised that according to our rule, our system will set a certain time of day to run Daily sync automatically. So if you do not find new content in-app yet after changing new default content, please kindly wait some time then our system will scan, detect the new content and update it to the app.
