WordPress - What is Basic language and Advanced language?

Target language

Target language is the language you wish to add to your website besides your store default language so that your customers could view your store easily in their preferred language by selecting a target language on Switcher.

Default language is the language you set for your store on Shopify. Your visitors will see this language at default if their preferred language (target language) isn't available. Transcy will use this language as the first language to translate into targeted languages.

Language source

Currently we provide 2 target language sources: Basic and Advanced language

Basic language which use google.translate.js to translate your website automatically when visitor change language by switcher on store-front. This language is unable to edit the translation.

Advanced language which require the user needs to translate website from default language to target language then it will show the translation on store-front through the saved translation database on Transcy server. This language allows the user can edit and manage the translation easily in our separated plugin version. We support 100+ popular languages for each language sources that mean you can feel free to select and translate your website in any preferred languages that you want.

Please note that you cannot set the default language to be the same as the target language, and the same target language cannot be added for both Basic and Advanced languages.

Please note that we have 2 plugin operations, one is embedded in the WordPress admin, another one is separated from Wordpress admin which is in our independent interface.
