WordPress - What is Basic language and Advanced language?

Target language



Default language is the language you set for your store. Your visitors will see this language at default if their preferred language (target language) isn't available. Transcy will translate your store based on the default language. The default language should be the same as the language you use to write your store.

Target languages are the languages that you want your store to be translated to, so that you can target more customers from worldwide.

Language types



In Transcy, we define 2 types of language: Basic and Advanced language

Basic language which uses google.translate.js to translate your website automatically when visitor change language by switcher on store-front. It is unable to edit the translation for basic languages

Advanced language provide automatically translation as well. By hitting the Translate button on Manage translation, the translation will be saved on our server which create the better experience with smoother loading. Besides that it allows you to modify the translation to make your store look more professional. Please click here to learn more about how to manage the translation of Advanced language type.




We support 100+ popular languages for each language sources that mean you can feel free to select and translate your website in any preferred languages that you want.

Please note that you cannot set the default language to be the same as the target language, and the same target language cannot be added for both Basic and Advanced languages.

Please note that we have 2 plugin operations, one is embedded in the WordPress admin, another one is separated from Wordpress admin which is in our independent interface.
