Ali Reviews new widget - How to show review box widget on online store
We aim to help you set up your review widgets in the most efficient and easy way. You can customize the widget's settings quickly in-app. Please follow the instruction bellow will include 3 steps:
- Enable app embed
- Installation
- Customization
To have the review box widget displayed on your online store, you will need to enable Ali Reviews on your theme.
From Shopify Sale channels --> Online Store --> Theme --> Customize --> App embeds --> Enable Ali Reviews
Go to Show reviews menu --> Review box widget --> Click on the Customize button.
- Toggle to disable/ enable the review box widget
- Install widget: the review box will be automatically installed on product page, to preposition or to add the review box widget on other pages via app block, please go to Shopify Theme editor, please kindly check this article for detailed instruction
- You can also read this article if you want to manually install the review box via code
Widget layout and settings
- Select the layout that you want to display.
- Turn on/ off the sections of review box based on your needs.
Widget content
This helps to customize all the text of the review box widget. Please check each section to find the text you want
We also support to automatically translate the review box widget into multiple languages (currently support 11 languages: English, French, Germany, Vietnamese, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese). Other languages are showing English content, you can customize them manually
Advanced settings
From here you can change the background color, text color, text font style and size, as well as all the elements inside the review card.
Note: The verified badge is only showed when a purchaser write a review for their order (reviews written from email, SMS, inbox request). More information is written here
App block settings
Select product setting: choose which product's reviews to be displayed on the widget
On product page, by default it will display the reviews of the product you are viewing. And we suggest you to leave this setting as default for better customer experience. However, you can still be able to select another product's reviews to be displayed (this will be applied on all product pages using the same templates)
On non-product pages (such as Homepage, Collections, Cart, etc.), it will show all reviews from all products as default. You can still select to show reviews of one specific product as your need.
Note:
- Some advanced settings are only available from Essential plan
- This settings are only available if you are using app block. In case you are using Theme OS 1.0 or page builder/ customed theme, you will need to add code manually, so this setting will not be available.
- Since we are in the middle of migrating process from the old version to the new one. The settings from old version will also be showing. The settings (name. layout, color settings) belongs to the old widget and they will be removed one we completely migrate all the users to the new version. Sorry for any confusion.
NOTE: Shopify limits to have 25 sections on each page, if your page has reached the limit, you will not be able to add the Review widget
